What to Eat in Bangkok

Bangkok’s food scene is as exciting as her buzzing traffic on the roads.  There are a few authentic Thai cuisines that are a must-eat if you are in Bangkok.

Pork Trotters Rice
  • Pork Trotters Rice

If you have tried the Chinese version of port trotters rice, this is the slightly sweeter version of it.  The braised gravy and melt-in-your-mouth pork paired with fragrant rice makes this dish a very humble comfort food.

  • Phad Thai

Phad Thai is Thai stir-fried noodles.   There is a nice balance of spice and sweetness in this noodle dish.  This is a very popular Thai dish among tourists and many food stalls serves a pretty decent Phad Thai.

Thai Grilled Fish
  • Pla Pao

For this dish, the entire fish is slathered in salt and then grilled to a tender perfection.  You might think that it’ll be so salty with all the salt on the fish’s body but you are not supposed to eat the skin!  You just eat the sweet tender meat inside.
